YELLIN IN MY EAR
(A SITE SPECIFIC INSTALLATION)

For my January 2020 solo exhibition, Yellin In My Ear, I built a live installation in the gallery space during the first 2 weeks of the open exhibition. I had no formal plans, just a desire to interact with the space, the gallery audience, and reinterpret my own ideas about my paintings.

A status interruption had occurred; effectively forcing the viewer to walk around this work emerging out from the wall and exploding into the center of the gallery space. I had recently been displaced from my home and my whole world was thrown into chaos and turned upside down. This work became the externalization of that upheaval.
